ResX, a major supporter of the NRL, scored big at the 2024 Dally M Awards, delivering a spectacular end-to-end production for fans nationwide. Lighting designer extraordinaire, Hugh Taranto, recruited the ResX team to help bring his vision to life.
Our 13-member crew, fully aware of the live broadcast, employed top strategies to ensure a flawless execution that not only met but surpassed expectations. We were thrilled with the results.
The lighting and rigging setup showcased an impressive array of our top equipment and technology. Astera FP2 Helios Tubes and Titan Tubes delivered versatile, vibrant lighting, while Ayrton Diablo S Profiles provided exceptional precision and colour mixing. The Martin MAC Aura XIP fixtures produced high-quality wash effects, perfectly complemented by the rich colour palettes of the Martin MAC Encore Wash CLD.
Prolights EclFresnel TW fixtures ensured smooth coverage, while Prolights Smart BatWash units highlighted key moments throughout the event. Captivating aerial effects were created by Claypaky Sharpy fixtures, with all equipment controlled from the dugout on two MA Lighting grandMA3 full-size consoles.
Above the NRL fans, a comprehensive rigging package included hundreds of meters of truss an extensive collection of D8+ Chain Hoist motors, allowing for an elaborate lighting design.
ResX also brought a unique touch to the setup with the Illumitube, a custom table centrepiece designed and manufactured by Resolution X. Its flexible, customisable design perfectly suited the evening’s theme, offering full creative control and creating a high-impact statement on each table.
