Business Development Manager

Part of the ResX team since early 2003, Marcus has always had a passion for lighting in all its forms. A preoccupation with the technical side of theatre saw him accepted straight out of school to the Stage and Technical Production Management course at QUT in Brisbane, where he honed specialist skills in lighting. This provided the foundation for his 16 plus year career in the industry, which has seen him work in theatre, television, corporate and rock ’n’ roll  for a variety of clients across Australia.

Marcus’s understanding of all things lighting, as well as his knack for customer service, made him the obvious choice of Hire Manager which he took on in 2006. In 2011, he also took on the  role of Business Development Manager, where he enjoys the privilege of working alongside some of the country’s best and brightest lighting designers and production companies. A committee member of the Australasian Lighting Industry Association (ALIA) since 2011, Marcus became its president in late 2014.

Anyone who knows Marcus will tell you that he’s always keen to talk lights with new clients or fellow aficionados.
